چکیده
Myxomas are the most common primary cardiac neoplasms. The prevalence of tumors at autopsy ranges from 0.001% to 0.3%. More than 50% benign myxomas. Approximately 7% these have genetic origin and arise as a component heritable disorder with some clinical manifestations. Over 72% benign. In adults, majority lesions Its manifestations variable nonspecific. Commonly observed symptoms signs dyspnea, orthopnea, paroxysmal nocturnal pulmonary edema, cough, hemoptysis, fatigue.

Lung ultrasound in the critically ill
Lung ultrasound is a basic application of critical ultrasound, defined as a loop associating urgent diagnoses with immediate therapeutic decisions. It requires the mastery of ten signs: the bat sign (pleural line), lung sliding (yielding seashore sign), the A-line (horizontal artifact), the quad sign, and sinusoid sign indicating pleural effusion, the fractal, and tissue-like sign indicating lu...
متن کاملUpper abdominal ultrasound in the critically ill.
Intraabdominal pathology, either primary or secondary, may frequently be found in critically ill patients. Without early diagnosis and treatment, the patient's condition may deteriorate and even progress to death. In this article, we provide a current review of the literature regarding liver, biliary, pancreatic, and splenic problems in critically ill patients and describe common ultrasound fin...
متن کاملLung Ultrasound in the Critically Ill Neonate
Critical ultrasound is a new tool for first-line physicians, including neonate intensivists. The consideration of the lung as one major target allows to redefine the priorities. Simple machines work better than up-to-date ones. We use a microconvex probe. Ten standardized signs allow a majority of uses: the bat sign (pleural line), lung sliding and the A-line (normal lung surface), the quad sig...
متن کاملBedside Endoscopic Ultrasound in Critically Ill patients
Background. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role and impact of EUS in the management of critically ill patients. Methods. We retrospectively identified all patients at our institution over a 68-month period in whom bedside inpatient EUS was performed. EUS was considered to have a significant impact if a new diagnosis was established and/or the findings altered subsequent clinical mana...
